I have a wide array of experience in community service, academic organization leadership, and student mentoring. Across my tenure in education, I have founded a number of scholastic clubs, led student groups to various competitions and conventions, and provided leadership training both in academic and community organization, including a series of TEDx pursuits and events.
U-Prep Latin Club
U-Prep's largest Club,
with over 40 members
Social Events (+ monthly movie nights!)
Academic Senate
Leadership Training
Community Organizing
Over 30 Tutors in every subject
Academic Competition Teams
Latin Club is up to much more than hanging out, too!
We are very active academically:
Both in the school and around the state and nation

I founded a JCL Chapter at our school three years ago. A competition group within the Latin Club, our team size has grown from 19 members last year to 38 this year

NJCL League Conventions
Both last year and this, I coached our Latin Club to fund & organize teams to trips to the State and National level Competitions.
Students compete in over 50 events, including:
Academics Tests
Academic Bowl
Team Sports & Athletics
Graphic Arts
Creative Arts
Music & Theater
Essay-writing
Speeches
Game-play, and more
Each year the club conducted fund-raisers to form financial need scholarships, funding many peers. The students raised over $5,00 each year, meeting their goal to enable every student to attend and compete, whatever their family's means.

As the school's Latin program continued to expand this year, the NLE Roster increased dramatically as well, with 110 students between Latin levels 1 and 5 scheduled to take the test on 3/12/15. That's over twice as many as last year!
This year's NLE is March 12; we're looking very forward to seeing how we score our second time out.
Latin Club Honors Banquet

To commemorate their many medals, rewards, and achievements since forming over the the prior three years, the Latin Club organized a ceremonial end of the year banquet.
We also used the occasion to bid "bon voyage!" to our graduating AP students, while simultaneously welcoming new incoming 8th and 9th graders into the fold.
It was a fun evening full of community, warmth, and cheer
